David Simons is the brains behind FYP Entertainment.  David Simons has been involved with local and national entertainment in the Philadelphia area since 1988.  In that time he has presented and supported many Philly acts that are now "national" acts long before they signed their major label deals.  The list includes: The Roots, The Goats, G Love & Special Sauce, and Ween.

As much as Philadelphia has changed over those years, one sad truth remains the same -- There Are Not Enough Venues for Local Musicians!

It may make for better party conversation to name drop Tori Amos, or Courtney Love, or Henry Rollins stories.  Or even how Pearl Jam played your club's One Year Anniversary party.  But ultimately there is something to be said for working with energetic young artists and watch over time as they grow and evolve.  Greater Philadelphia is blessed with an abundance of talented musicians and artists.  With your help we are hoping to create a stronger local network of venues in order to foster these artists.
