THE FIVE YEAR PLAN Our goal is to create as many new spaces for live music and entertainment as possible. We are focusing on Center City where we are working with various restaurants and bars in high profile locations. We started in June of 2003 with Free Live Music Fridays at Philadelphia Fish & Company, at 207 Chestnut in Old City.
TOKIO BALLROOM Tokio Ballroom, is our newest location. Tokio Ballroom is a more music dedicated room, located at 122 Lombard Street, on the second floor above Le Champignon Restaurant and Tokio Sushi Bar. Music will be presented on Fridays and Saturdays, and may soon expand to additional evenings. We will be presenting a variety of styles of music (rock, funk, R&B, singer/songwriter) at Tokio Ballroom. As a venue, it is a fluid space with cocktail table seating in front of the stage, and has a capacity of 100 people. There is a bar, plus wait service at the tables and a light menu will be offered featuring food from the restaurants on the first floor.
SOCIETY HILL HOTEL At our second location, Society Hill Hotel at the corner of 3rd and Chestnut streets, we began our Acoustic Happy Hour Series in July of 2003. Recently our acoustic showcase series has moved to Monday evenings. We have successfully been able to attract high caliber artists to perform in this comfortable and intimate pub-style setting. Shows start at 7pm on Mondays and are free!
PHILADELPHIA FISH & COMPANY The Free Live Music Fridays showcase talented local artists and bands that are both established as well as up-and-comers. Besides attracting fans and people in the local music scene, we also hope to expose the acts to wider audiences by not charging a door charge at such a high profile foot traffic location. Besides offering great free shows on Friday nights, Philadelphia Fish & Company offers Happy Hour Drink specials for late dinners, snacks, and desserts.
